Default Typical LT+ORY+LM1 complaint

Alright, so before I actually install my BBK headers+ORY+LM1 and get annoyed with it right from the get go cause its my DD. People are recommending the Magnaflow 14419.

Anyone have experience with that muffler on sound and installing it?

Did it quiet it down a little though?
Also was there any difficulty installing it? I think i read something about it being a little different in size. Should i go ahead and buy a band clamp?

Oh yeah it toned down the overall noise a fair amount. Really cut down that sharp ear piecing raspy sound if you know what i mean. I had a shop install mine so I don't know the exact details, but they did say it was pretty much a direct drop in to the old LM1. They welded mine in though

I drove my Z everyday for two years with LT's, and LM1. Its loud looking back on driving it everyday lol. But if you have never heard it / driven a car with a LM1 don't hate before you even know. IMO it's not a bad set up.

I've had a LM1 on my car for a year now and like it a lot but now its time for full exhaust. For myself, a loud car doesnt bother me at all but im more worried about cops giving me **** and waking up my neighbors every single morning.
They already know when i leave for work in the morning

When I bought my car it had LM exhaust with stock manifolds. Got rid of it in 2 days and bought a Magnaflow cutback with the quad tips. The Magnaflow sounded much better. I now have ARH headers with an oryp. Exhaust is quite when cruising and loud at full throttle. It's the perfect combination for me. A buddie has an SS with Lt's, oryp and a Loudmouth. It's the worst sounding exhaust I've heard on a f body. To each their own but that Loud exhaust gets old after a while.

Been there, done that. Yes, the Magnapack blows everything else away.

As for the Magnaflow cat back itself, I personally hated it. It's too damn quiet and it's STILL a cross flow design.

My LM1 resonator is welded in. Can i just cut it and put the magnaflow in its place without any issues?

Lts and Y are in..had to keep the loudmouth resonator in there temporarily cause it looks like the magnaflow resonator will need to have an inch or so cut off of it.

I honestly love the sound of the LM1 with BBK LT's, doesnt sound nearly as raspy as i thought and love how laying the pedal down to make it scream. Its loud only in the sense of being considerate to people that live around me but for me its perfectly fine haha

Yeah. It's loud. It's obnoxious. But do you have "tone?"

Do you have "setting off car alarms in the parking lot" bass?

Didn't think so. I know bc I've done wore that t-shirt OUT.

Get the Magnaflow in there (14419) and report back. I'll bet a 20 spot you agree.
