Looks like PVC valve hose. When my tore, it tore closer to the intake manifold and through a P0174 code. Was able to replace with a short length of 3/8" fuel hose I had laying around. Don't know what's available to replace your hose, so others please chime in.

yes but you'll get even more oil into your intake manifold. Best bet will be to install a catch can with integrated PCV like the Mighty Mouse. Another option is to install the ls6 valley cover, but it would require removing the intake.

Yes it's definitely you're PCV tube. Make sure you follow the hose along the passenger side towards the back of the intake and check it. I'd be willing to bet it's been eaten away there too.

Like another poster said, you really need to invest in a catch can. The set up on ls1's really allows a lot of nasty crap to get into the intake.

I rebuilt my entire set up using 3/8" fuel hose and a catch can. I have to empty it out periodically but seeing the stuff that DIDN'T go into my intake is well worth it.

No doubt the Y fitting that's at the rear on the intake manifold for the stock LS1 PCV system will be shot also so just band aiding the front fitting won't do much. Yes, do the LS6 PCV upgrade. You may already have oil built up in your intake manifold and intake ports so pulling the intake will be a good thing to do.

Adding a catch can will help a bit more but is optional on a everyday car with the LS6 PCV setup.

Looks to be a Camaro or Firebird? How many miles on this engine?

If you do the conversion job and pull the manifold, have a brand new ACDelco oil pressure sending unit at the ready. NOT aftermarket.

Brand new ones aren't cheap, but you can get them.

YESBUT did you dig out the hose behind the intake manifold to see if these fittings are also shot?

That's why the ls6 valley cover is good.
