Default BMR strut hitting BBK manifold

i bought 1998 camaro SS. It is cammed with a BBK intake manifold. I went to put my BMR strut brace i had on my 2000 trans am and it hits the intake. I don't want to damage anything by tightening it down on the intake manifold. anyone have any suggestions of what to do? You can look at pictures online and i can see it has been done, but i can't fine any information on it. In the pictures it does look like its resting on the manifold. Thanks

I didn't think those BBK intakes were worth it...

Could maybe add spacers between the tower and strut...maybe some washers.

If you really want to run it you might try spacing it with washers like mentioned above.

Those manifolds look killer though. If it were me I'd ditch the bar.

How fresh are your motor and tranny mounts?

I would sell it and spend the money on the "smog delete".

The STB is useless, if you like the looks maybe sell the BBK and switch to a LS6 intake.

thats not an actual picture of my car i was unable to put it on. I have an extra ls6 intake. i just bought the car with the bbk. Its got 94k miles i would assume mounts are still decent. The car made 400rwhp. Tsp228r cam, bbk intake, longtube headers and ypipe. aero muffler dumped. slp lid.has stock heads idk if there was porting done.and a really aggressive tune. EGR was deleted so that hose to the intake is not there.

Having crappy motor mounts would only help you as the motor would sit lower.

Could maybe be the STB....that's a guess. I have the same intake on my 02 ws6 and a UMI STB with plenty of clearance.
