Seafoam AKA GM top end cleaner. If you don't have a catch can or LS6 PCV mod once every 3 month or so. (That is what I did untill custom catch can)

Are you talking about what you can get at any Chevy dealer, the induction service?

How does a catch can work?

Yes.

The catch can like it says is a container in which the oil and other residue dump into from the pcv line.
Basicaly PCV line to catchcan>>>catchcan to PCV valve>>> into your intake.

Search and read plenty on that.

Don't you have to change your plugs when you do this? So every 3000 miles, change the oil, DECARB the top end and change the plugs?

Personally i used to just clean my plugs with ether/gas after that. Then i would run some Red Line Fuel Inj cleaner and i was good to go. But I'm somewhat of a freak
I even change my oil once I don't like it's color anymore. The oil intervals set as a rule of thumb do not know how I drive my car.

I've been cleaning the throttle body with Lucas fuel injector cleaner on a rag front part every oil change remove and clean rear & front every other oil change. add cleaner to fuel every 5k miles. will this be good enought or should I try the 3m kit that cost $35. is it worth it.
I'm now thinking of wet sanding the TB / 400 just to polish is this a good idea?
Thanks

What year is your car?

On vehicles without EGR the intake tends to stay VERY clean.
