True Duals Kick A#@.....
I installed some Pacesetter LT's this weekend and the install went smoothly. Took the car this morning to a local muffler shop that a buddy of mine owns and had him run TD's. I went 2.5" off the collector to a Magnaflow Tru-X pipe, down the stock routing side over the axle with the help of the BMR Relocation bar, and finally into 2 Magnaflow 4" Round body mufflers. The tips I chose are PN 35171. They are a 3" inlet 3.5" x 5.5" polished stainless tip. Makes the Formula *** end look great. The sound is awesome. The tone at idle is muscular. At cruise it is very tame and deep. No Drone or Rasp. At a rolling flog the sound comes to life and is remarkable. It has a slight hint of rasp at WOT but overall is really just a little louder than a header, ory w/ Hooker or Dynomax catback. I will have some pictures to post up probably in a couple days. The sound bytes and videos really do not do this setup justice. I think the 4" round body muffler might be a good alternative to the bullets that everyone run and becomes tired of very quickly. Sorry for my long rant.

Glad you like them. True Duals sound so good. Now all you need is a cam and it only gets sweeter. You should get some cutouts that dump under the car for a little different sound. You can cap them when you get tired of it. I have mine ran out the back but also some C/O for when I want it a little louder.

Yeah I can't wait to get a cam. I am going to finish the suspension this summer. I will probably need a clutch by fall. Then I will most likely do a cam over the winter. It does sound incredible and will only get better with time and a cam. Thanks.

I think he was including LT's and cats in that statement.

The ground clearance is excellent. The lowest point is the bend on the drivers side that takes it over to the x-pipe. The clearance is the same as with any y-pipe setup. The sound again is phenomenal. It is getting a little louder the more I drive it but is still tolerable. The cruising deep, mellow tone is great. Well hope the pictures help those who need guidance and prove to the others who say it can not be done. Later

There are to mounts with nuts welded to the torque arm from the factory. Almost looks like for a factory driveshaft loop, but anyway it is bolted not welded to that mount. It loads the exhaust alittle bit on a pole lift but you can do chin ups off the exhaust so it holds it very well. The picture below might show the mount better.

We first tried it with band clamps and some muffler cement. Well it started leaking so he suggested to slip the pipe inside the collector and weld it up for sealing purposes. He said if you for any reason have to remove it I could use a pipe cutter to cut the weld and just slide the undamaged pipe out of the collector. I have plenty of room on the left side to slide the torque arm and the driveshaft out. I also have 10" to 12" to slide the tranny back to get the input shaft out of the clutch. From my measurements I need about 7" to 9" to get the shaft out. I really did not want to weld the collectors but it is better than fighting exhaust leaks and poor driveablilty because of bad O2 data. Sorry for the long explanation.
