Any one who bought a 1 3/8 expandable plug from autozone i need to know what its "technical name" is. i went into autozone told them what i needed, tryed explaining it to them and they still didnt know what iwas talking about. so if some one can give me the name on the package or part number or SOMETHING, i appreciate it.

you can find it on the help section or Motormite section, there are several part numbers because there are several sizes, however the size is on the package, just grab the one that works for you....but you might want to start off by going somewhere else besides autozone!

I went to Napa and asked for a freeze plug and they had a box full of them. The price was 3 dollars and some change.

I work at O'reilly's. The freeze plugs are the metal inserts and the expansion plugs are the same thing but are made of rubber with a bolt ran through it to make it expand when tightened. Its just a quick fix freeze plug. We have them in our Motormite help sections as was stated before.

yeah I got my freeze plug from speed inc it was only like 1.38 i think. Just remember to put some RTV around it when you put it in. I tapped mine down with a mallet just to make sure it was on good.
