Default March Pulleys

I have a double roller timing chain with the spacer behind the oil pump. The oil pump is spaced out properly. I then put the March pulley on and the moter is locked up so I pulled off the pulley and the moter turns over nice. Can anybody help

Maybe the the pulley is going to far past the seal and hitting the crank sprocket putting lateral force on the chain and thus causing the chain links not to mesh well with the cam gear???? That sounds like it would not let the motor turn. If so don't force it.

Does the March have a lip machined in it like the SFI version of the ASP. I know the legacy ASP pulleys had the problem of not clearing the double roller. Wouldn't think it would lock it up.

I would suggest just seating the puley partially and check to see if the crank will turn and then go through this reapetative process of seating it a little more and cheaking until you reach the point where it wont turn.

I have the same issue; my engine builder just called and said he is getting bind. Did 3mm off work? Thanks. March pulley with rollmaster double.

I spent 3 hours searching last night on this baord, ls1.com, camaroz28.com and the vette sites.

I found 2 people with the problem; the guy on this post and slowhawk from last Novemeber. I now make 3.

So, it appears some work fine, others need machining ( small minority ).

3mm seems to be the answer.
