Default Ticking noise after spark plug change

I changed my spark plugs today and now there is a ticking noise coming from somewhere on the driver's side. It does it both while the engine is under load and while it's idling. I followed the guide from Installuniversity.com and according to that it could be a loose spark plug wire. So I'm going to check my wires first thing in the morning but I was wondering if there's anything else I should check. Thanks in advance for any replies!

make sure the plugs are tight enough. the only other thing i could think of would be your plug wires arent on all the way.

did you take the air hoses off? If not then just make sure the wires are snug on the coil packs and plugs. Also, if you didn't use any boot grease I would get some!

Are you sure you gapped them all?

One time a NGKTR55 gapped at .022 caused a nasty tick in mine. It also caused an SES random misfire code.

like he said... the tick may be a result of running leaner than you should. If a gap is off (narrower) it could be running hotter/leaner.

Mine did the same thing - turned out to be one loose plug. Sucks, but cheapest and easiest fix!!

I just had this same exact problem. Loose plug. I wonder why that happens. I also had a bunch of misfiring going on too. Does the plug vibrate in the block and blow the spark out?

It could be an exhaust leak. I don't know how changing the plugs would cause that but stranger things have happened
