3 arm pulley puller... it'll take some force especially if you have higher mileage. I broke a puller, stripped the threads on another, and ended up having to heat it up a bit with a rosebud until it would even budge. Hopefully yours turns out a bit better. You're gonna need the longer crank bolt to get it on/off easier.

The longer crank bolt suggested is a M16 x 2.0 pitch x 120mm long. It is the same size as the stock crank bolt just longer to help you get the pulley off easier and to help push it back on a bit so you don't risk stripping the threads on the stock bolt. I personally could not find that dimension bolt anywhere and I just cut the head off the stock crank bolt, welded another inch of the same diameter bolt onto it and then welded the top back on. This gave me the leverage I needed. Also, if you didn't know, you're going to need a new stock crank bolt when you put it back in because GM uses torque to yield bolts and they are pretty much done after you use them for a bit and them remove them (especially after 240 ft/lb of torque on the crank bolt). Just swing by a dealer somewhere and pick one up, they're cheap.

This page will help you out if you haven't already seen it...

i used a $30 special from my local shop called "the tool store" Key thing is to use a 3 arm puller, DO NOT use a 2 arm... I know this from experience
Comes off fairly easily after you line it up properly.

Am I prying against the longer bolt? I'm confused. I can't just pull the bolt out and use the puller?

You unscrew the stock bolt enough to where it has about 4 threads left in it, set the pulley bolt against that bolt and use that as the point of reference. Eventually the pulley with hit up against it and won't let you get it off. This is where the longer bolt comes in. You then thread the longer bolt in at least 4 threads and use that to get the pulley the rest of the way off.

yes EXACTLY! I just installed mine last night and to start with I was using my cousin's pulley puller he had in his shop with 6-inch arms. That just wasn't happening. I went through 2 hours of screwing with the puller trying to change the arm configuration so the back of the arms wouldn't hit the dual fan assembly behind it before I finally decided to drive into Topeka to the nearest Autozone...It was a 40-mile trip in, but it was sure worth it. It was a very painless install after that point, making me wish I had done it in the first place. So make sure you have a smaller pulley puller.

Also the write-up on installuniversity suggests a puller from pep boys with the part number listed. The picture looks like it is of the smaller pulley puller breed and will probably work for you as well if you have one of their stores local.

Long post about a stupid pulley puller, but damn that caused a lot of headaches until I got the right one. The Chrysler puller gets the

I bought a $29.00 puller and it came of in a snap. The only hard part was loosening the bolt!
