Default Aftermarket wires...

Is it just me, or do all aftermarket plug wires suck? I don' t mean for this to be a flame, but, I have had experience with MOST manufactures ( i.e. MSD, ACCEL, TAYLOR, etc. ) and it seems the spark plug terminal never snaps secure after you pull them off the first time. Geez... I had changed my plugs almost a half-dozen times, with the OEM wires, and they ALWAYS went on, and came off the same way. A good snap, to let you know they were on. I get some red GM Performance Parts wire ( which look like C5 wires ) and they snap just as good. I pull 'em, lookin' for wires with less resistance ( i.e. MSDs ) and they go on like crap, and after I pull them off the first time, they never snap again. Shoot, I think the only purpose they serve is looking cool. Anyways, am I the only person who has experienced this?

My Taylors go on perfect everytime. They make a nice clicking noise to let me know they are on. No complaints.

My msd's have also been fine, no problems at all, grab low on the boot when you pull them off, and dont twist them. This may sound like common sense, but you would not believe some of the people on here.

My stockers are just fine time and time again. Thinking about going with some Moroso Ultra 40s though. Hope they do ok.

More performance wires are the highest quality wires i've seen for our cars, and about the only wire worth the money i've seen so far.

Would the GM red plug wires for Vettes be any better than stock LS1 Z28 plug wires?

MSD's here... No problems with them for the two years i've had them. Probably have been off 5-6 times, a nice steady push on the boot provides a secure click knowing they are secured.

When I got the new MSD wires I pulled my stockers off at 10K miles. I threw both sets on an ohm meter and the results were not what I expected.........

Stock 2002 LS1 wires w 10K miles = .725 ohms resistence
MSD 8.5mm SC Wires = .025 ohms resistence

That should sum it up.......
