True duals get too loud once you get a cam. Just my 0.02. But I have seen several local guys change back after cam.

I have them. Dumped at axle with dynomax bullets and magic stick v.3 (237/242 .603/.609 113). Daily driver. The only change I plan to make is a different muffler. Probably sweet thunder's but possibly single chamber flows or oval Borla XR1's.

Sounds WICKED. Race car idle, totally drivable, SCREAMS at the upper rpm.

I have a custom setup that utilizes the same muffler (4" round body magnaflow), magnaflow tru-x (instead of a homemade one), and over the axle. I think the sound-bytes are very close to what you should expect.

i've heard the dynomax bullets dumped. they just don't sound as clean as the speed inc's in the vids. maybe its the muffler, or the fact that they are dumped, or a combination of the 2.

any vids?

i'm thinking the key to that tone is the muffler, i'm interested in hearing yours with a true x pipe.

I'm almost positive the dumped LS1 speed duals have always used dynomax bullets.....

I didn't watch the videos. IF the videos are of the over the axle setup they use pitbull mufflers, if I'm not mistaken. That would explain it.

Damn...blast from the past. Sorry for digging this up, but I didn't even see this thread. If you have any questions about the setup, that is my car. I tried to go with the ATR pitbull mufflers, but they wouldn't have fit very well with the CME tips that this is all tied in to. That's what prompted the Magnaflow 10416 bullets that it has...there is one other person on here that lives around the Chicago area with this exact setup as well.

Keep in mind that my car is also stock internaled...I don't know how this would sound with a cam. I don't really intend to find out though, as I have other plans for this car.

Thanks for the props. Questions? Ask away...
