I think I’m gonna call you guys on this one. It does look like GMS wires do make an improvement, whether it be their tested 17HP or less. In the thread, there was a call out to anybody who’s used these wires which went unanswered.
GMS, it is odd that you’ve responded to this so long afterwards but I’ll cut you some slack, maybe you just saw the thread. Also folks, consider that with (currently) just 21 posts since registering in 2002, GMS really isn’t on here.
I do believe GMS to be a reputable shop, if they weren’t, people would’ve been onto them long ago and they would be out of business.
I am considering these wires as a future purchase. Even if they don’t add 17 HP, I feel confidant they’ll do something positive.
And for those saying to go with Taylors? Good luck with that. I had them and they are JUNK-as many here have discovered. Plenty posted about that.

Oh yeah! Taylors are SOO good you can only use em once! Like the Chuck Norris of plug wires! They're so busy kickin the **** out of the plugs that you can't get any more life out of em.

LMAO! total BS!
I've got some land for sale for you if you really think 100+ wires add power.
If your wires or plugs are degraded in the first place then yes fixing the problem with give your engine new life. From what I've seen the MSD's + NGK's from Nasty Performance are the best deal. Picking up a set for my 4.8 conversion.

T-1000 has no wires.
I dont think the granatelli wires are BS. Solid core offers the lowest resistance and they have this little ferrite EMI arrester that they own the patent to but in general is something that's been around for decades to reduce EMI from solid core wires. 900+ ohms per 8" is probably the worst wires you can find and compared to taylor or MSD you are only talking maybe 1/10 of the hp/tq gains mentioned in the article but still, these wires are literally 700 times lower resistance than MSD super conductors. (0.1ohm vs 71.6ohm for the 6" ls1 wires).
The hp claim may indeed be true on the longer length crappy wire setup of that truck. It will be _much_ less noticeable on an ls1.
edit: But i think if you're really concerned with the difference in power from MSD wire compared to the Gran's then you would also be concerned with all the grounding strap resistances throughout the car because of the parasitic draw it causes in the alternator. At less than half the price, just get msd wires. Spend the other 60 bucks on something worthwhile.
