I just installed my dual electric cutouts today, and i'm thinking turn downs might be a good idea. Everything inside the car rattles around with them open, maybe the turn downs will help direct the sound like the dumps did.

DO NOT TURN THEM DOWN! TURN THEM OUT! If you aim the cutout to the side (slightly down is okay), it will be far quieter than turning them straight towards the ground. If you do that, the pressure waves bounce between the car and the ground. That's what makes it loud as hell. Angling them allows a straighter shot out from under the car.

yeah Its not turned facing the ground, just angled down slightly so that it wont put so much heat on the underside of the car

i made my own

i had the exhaust shop bend a replacement pipe, so if i ever wanted the cutout off, i could use the original pipe. then i fabricated the rest myself

took some work, but i also have a welder
