Default motor mount problems

Ok can you help me figure this out.

Went and bought polyurtheane motor mounts

took the clam shell out and was suprised i drilled out the the 3 rivets on one side.the other side of the shell had solid mushroom head rivets.

now there is no way to clamp the shell together anymore i will have to get bolts and put bolts through the solid rivet side .

what is going on i though this was pop the rivets and swap it out .

I am worried the bolts i will have to put in is going to hold the clam together

Any ideas would be help full .

thanks chris

What you are describing is normal.

The Prothane mounts come with the bolts. I don't know what kind you bought, but I would advise buying some bolts and nylon lock washers. You need 2 bolts on each side of the clam shell... in other words 4 bolts per mount. Make sure the head is on the engine side.

People need to stop buying those stupid energy suspension mounts. The Prothanes come with everything you need.
