Borla Cat back Question

Borla Cat back Question
I just installed a used Borla cat back on my 01 Z-28. I didn't get any reducer plates to tune it. When I rev it up with the clutch in, I get a popping sound when I let off. Not a backfire. Is this normal and will a restricter plate limit it? Thanks.

Yup, this sounds normal. I didn't use a plate on mine, and it pops/gurggles quite a bit, but that's what I was wanting. I enjoy the bang when shifting at redline, too.....

yes, thats definately normal, i personally like it, sounds kinda like a snarl..fits the ws6 attitude
i dont think the restrictor plates help at all at getting ride of it, ive never run smaller hols than the mid plate, but it sounded exactly the same as it does now, fully open
