I have true duals running out the back w/o cats, and don't have any problems with my eyes burning.
You WILL however, smell the fumes at a stoplight, with the windows or top down. If you don't mind the smell of exhaust, it's not too bad.

You'll be fine... It's not that bad if your car is running right.

The only time I notice the smell on mine is after I first start it when it has been sitting for a while. Or if I shut the garage door before shutting the car off. The only time it made my eyes water a little bit was when I had it up on a lift running and I walked right under the dumps.

The smell doesn't bother me, but my wife doesn't care for it at all.

A lot of the smell comes from how you place your turn downs. If they are turned towards the pavement it will bounce back up to the underside of the car, and if they are just angled out a little, they should allow the gases to exit behind the car. This will also help with drone. The way I had mine before I ran them out the back.

I just had my TSP true duals put on last night and welded this morning. The car smells pretty rich because I did a head and cam swap this weekend also, but no irritating chemicals.

just converted over to Hooker LTs and custom TDs, no cats, i can smell the unburnt gases at idle, most noticable at start-up and just after shut-down

no burning eyes here, just an ungodly interior vibration at 1K - 1500 RPMs

Well.. I'll have em installed in the not-so-distant future but that sounds more like a tuning problem?

Do TD's really make the car rumble that much? Is the idle vibration increased that much? I'd really like a rumbly car... thought the only way I could do that would be to get a cam with at least 112 LSA... but that's a lil later on

Thats weird. my car with two bullets dumped (as in ne exhaust just a bullet on each header) doesn't shake my interior at all. Sounds bad *** though! Can't wait to throw a cam in it.

The duals rattle beecause of the rear mounting points...

I removed the stock carpet, and i'm getting a stupidly loud metal shake rattle...

removed the duals.. gone...

basically the part where they bolt on is too thin.. and shakes too much.. gotta figure another way to mount them...

the rear hangers are soo stiff that the exhaust vibrations are transmitted into the car, my ashtray is full of change, and all it does is rattle, between 1100-1500, otherwise its fine, just the low RPMs

otherwise when i sit at a light with it in Drive, it has a slight chug to it

Any overbearing gas fumes are most generally tuning related. There will be an increase in exhaust fumes but nothing most people can not handle.
