Default Ory?

is any 3" superior to the other? i see many people running TSP orys as opposed to the pacesetter. is there any reason for this?

As I understand it, they choose the TSP for two reasons. #1, TSP has a great price on pacesetters and sells a nice combo for pacesetter headers and the TSP y-pipe.

#2, the TSP y-pipes (catted and ORY) are more configurable and SHOULD provide a better fit. That's why I bought a TSP Y-pipe anyway, and I might be in for one hell of a time getting it all together. When everything gets here, I'll let you know how my TSP catted Y fit in there.

TSP here, test fit it first, if there is any fitment problems take it to an exhaust shop and how them open the pipes alittle, usually this is free, or like 5 bucks cash.

That's true of the budget ORY's but an ORY with a Flowmaster Merge Collector will outperform all others. The merge creates a smooth scavange effect and accelerates the speed of the exhaust gases. The Race Merge setup is light years ahead of your standard ORY where the two pipes are simply welded together.

I've seen QTP, Hooker @ TSP and they go in that order. QTP comes standard with the 4"-3" merge collector. Hooker is does not have a merge but is designed really well and tucks nicely with no banging problems. I ran the Hooker on my Jet Hot LTs when I was running an ORY.
