Default Is two better than one? (cutout)

Is it better to have 2 cutouts vs 1 cutout?

Of course two will flow better than one, but if you are going to be spending money on cutouts (especially if they are electric) why not do true duals, at least that way you will also have the benefit of equal pressure from an X-pipe

My vote is a single. Unless you are pushing alot of hp then do duals. Single cutout is fine for most.

I have a single, I like it. I has a really good sound!! I like your rendering, especially the exhaust, It looks bad-***. I would just go with one cut-out. if you really want two, then just go with True Duals!!

Nice diagram

The only reason I'd run two is if I was trying to bypass the cats. Otherwise, one is plenty IMO.

Thanks for the input guys. I wanted to keep the sound and the look of the stock muffler and just put a set-o-headers, a y-pipe, the cutout(s), stall, and the cam I have already bought. I use my car as a daily driver and want to keep the dependability and keep the noise down like 5% of the time. The cam I will be running is the 224/226 .562/.568 114 from thunder racing. So, yes I will also be putting the juice to it just for $h!ts and giggles. I know if I start putting to much more HP that it will just end up breaking either the tranny or the rear. I am trying to avoid that.

I had duals in my y-pipe just because I wanted to be different. I used dual mccord plates to open them also. It's not very expensive to have done so I say go for it.

It's a little better quality than mine! I drew this one up last year.

I guess all I wanted to know was would there be a great difference between one or two cutout(s) with the performance parts that I will put.

There is a huge difference in sound between 1 and 2. 2 is much louder, choppier and raspier. MUCH louder.

2 Feels really sluggish in the bottom RPMs as well.

Is that because not enough backpressure?
