tb spacer?
well ive seen a few of these things, i havent really paid much attention to them either due to the price (80 bucks) and the fact i dont think they do anything. but anybody else got any input on them? and can a nitrous plate pretty much be the same thing?

I wondered the same thing. I have used carb spacers in the past to increase high RPM horspower. Head to head test of different spacers (in carb applications) shows a noticable diference on the dyno #s.
I did not think they would have any affect (positve or negative) on an EFI application because it is just air flowing through the TB instead of a mixture of A/F. The thing that has tweaked my intrest, however, is at least two differnent dynos of Dave's LS1 plate that have shown several NA hp difference. It may just be a conincedence, but I have one ordered to go with the FAST 90 and LS2 TB setup that is also on the way

I know those work. I dunno if there are any for the LSx motors though.

He says it did. The car is currently getting ready for a complete tear-down and rebuild. He will be keeping the spacer on and adding a new (truly beautiful) ported TB.
I had a spacer on my Silverado 5.3 and took it off. I hated the whistling sound it made while cruising.
