Default anything else for UD pulley

I am about to buy the ASP UD Pulley from ThunderRacing and I just want to double check that this is all I am going to need. I think it is the right accessory belt. I have no other pullies and am only doing the UD pulley.

11-378K4 Belt for AC Pulley, 1998-2002 LS1 F-body $10.99 $10.99

49-948500 ASP Harmonic Balancer Crank Pulley, SFI 18.1 Approved, 1998-2002 LS1 F-body, 2004 GTO $214.99 $214.99

11-760K6 Accessory Belt for ASP/March Crank Pulley Only, 1998-2002 LS1 F-body $21.99 $21.99

Just want to check before I order the stuff.

Yep looks good. You may want to make sure the new pulley comes with a new crank bolt as well. You will need that for sure.

Get a longer version of the crank bolt to tighten the pulley down far enough, so you don't risk stripping the threads. In retrospect, I wish I had done this instead of wasting my time with a piece of wood and a hammer. It would have saved a lot of time.

You're going to absolutely require a replacement crank bolt (these bolts are NOT safe to use more than once). It is helpful to get a bolt of the same size and thread but in a longer length, for the pulley only goes on so far before it gets tight. Usually, this is before the correct length bolt can grab enough threads to not risk stripping. Use the Search to find out what bolt you need (mine came with the pulley), and just take it to a hardware store and have them find a longer one.

Thunder should have the bolt listed in the bolt/gasket section. You'll also need a slightly longer bolt to get the pulley seated so you don't strip the crank. Check out LS1howto.com in the cam-install section for some more info.

You need a longer crank bolt to put the pully on so you do not strip the threads in the crank. The stock bolt is not long enough to do this. You also need to use a new crank bolt for the install. It is also suggested that you change the timming cover seal to prevent leaking.

i put my pulley in the oven to around 150-200 *,took it out, got it started and lightly tapped it on some and used the stock bolt to get it to bottom, then put the new bolt in and torqued it.it went on pretty easily or i would have used a longer bolt as well so i guess it is the installers disgression !

Did you just use the bolt that came with with SLP pulley? Or did you still buy one of the ARP ones. I think I am starting to lean towards the SLP from the ASP, I like the higher side walls.
