how hard is it to break or a crack an ls6 manifold???
one of my buddies was torquing down my intake manifold and he did not read the torque sequince right..we had a ft/lb torque wrench and the instructions were in in/lb and he thought it said 49 ft/lb and then the second pass 89 ft/lb...but it was really 49 in/lb and then 89 in/lb the second pass...well when he was torquing it down he kept going and going and he snapped the bolt and heard a big snap sound as if were the plastic craking....we took the bolt out and it was broken....i had to extract the bolt out...i looked at the intake manifold it doesnt look craked from anywhere outside....but i dont know about the inside????

89 ft lbs. is a lot. Especially for torqueing down plastic.
If it were me, I'd just loosen all the bolts and torque them down right. Then start the engine and if you have a vacuum leak, you might have cracked the intake. If you cracked the intake, you can just seal it with an epoxy.

I always hear of the bolts breaking WAY before the plastic is in any danger of breaking, unless of course you left the ls1 coolant vent pipe on or crushed something else on the bottom. I dont think youre going to collapse one of those thick bosses you bolt through.
