Default TR-55 or TR55IX on Stock Motor?

Rep. over at Autozone told me that my stock ignition would burn up the TR-55's , and I should go with the TR55IX's IRIDIUMS?! Tell me if I should the counter helper for giving me this advice...I need some input...F-IN' search button keeps timing out (search no worky for me) on my work computer for some reason...picking them up at lunch today. I'll check back in here with my Blackberry after some grub! I'm gonna burn up the old ones and my fuel filter with the "SEAFOAM" this weekend...I'll make sure and give em' one of those "RATCHET TATOOS!" if his advice was junk for my baby!

Damn! thanks 00firebird...I was just fixing to chime in on that one...everyone told me the same thing about my old Carbed 350...us Stock Delco Plugs/Wires...everyone else is and they work...then I installed my MSD 6 Box and toasted em' over/over...so I upgraded to Denso Iridiums/MSD Wires...NO PROBLEMA'! I am certain the guys on this board are right but I want someone to explain the WHY? Everyone else is doing it is the excuse I used in highschool? It was the reason I tried to fit 4 15" Kicker Solo's in the cab of my truck back then...So TR55IX are more expensive yes...but that is not what I want to know...I didn't buy a sports car to save money...gas & insurance alone would have sent me packing...little alone all the mods this damn site has me dreamin' up. I don't want to do what everyone else is doing unless "cheaper IS really better"...someone tell me IF tech. at Autozone is right...Come one someone, THEY close in a few hours and I shined up my ratchet all shiny like for his face...hahahah!

For performance go with tr55's. The irrudiums just last longer.

I've been using them for over 100,000 miles (not the same set) and they have worked great.
