Default ignition coils

i've searched around a lot and have found info on all the different types of the genIII coils, I have a full set of LS1 coils that are the round ones. will they work definately on a truck harness? the harness is a 2002 from a silverado. I just want to know if someone has tried it and it works, I dont see why they would be much different... Iguess I could go try one on my truck later if no one has a response. btw the harness is going into a sandrail, so I cant really test the harness with the coil since I dont have it hooked up yet.

thanks,

jake

acourding to everything ive read the one (round i think, dont have the book in front of me) type of truck coils are the best type.. so i think the coils are interchangable.. not sure though.

If you need future help with the project, hit up our Conversions & Hybrids section. Those guys might be a little faster to respond.

I believe the LS1 and the early round truck coils are very close performance wise, however their connectors are different. As long as your wire harness matches your chosen coil you should be OK.
