FAST Intake Issue

FAST Intake Issue
having a fitment issue with the fast 78MM intake i just bought from a friend.
if i put the intake on it looks as if there is still a gap between the head and the intake. (without it bolted)
Has anyone used this intake with the LS6 Valley cover? it seems that my intake is really close to the port at the front. also i am using hax head bolts from ARP for the knock sensor (valley) cover and im wondering if the bolts are too tall. if i remember right the stock bolts are rounded head?
or could i just be retarted because i dont remember if i removed the clip that holds the knock sensor wires down.

If the bolts are the culprit and if you're in a hurry and you're good with a grinder, you might be able to grind'em down, but be very careful that you don't grind your fingers. Use plyers, or better yet, thread the bolts into something and carefuly grind.
