Default qtp LT headers clearance issues???

Im getting ready to ditch my slp LT headers (for sale btw) and get some LT header that wont take out any clearance. Do you guys know about how much clearance they take out cause im about to lower my car???

Headers have great clearance. But if you lower your car i would recomend a custom y pipe. It will match your ride height.

Just make sure that when you put the headers on, You have no problems with them hitting the K member or the steering shaft, If you do, Send them back to QTP ASAP! If you wait awhile, They would tell you to go away.... Thats putting it in a nice way. Been there already.....

Ohh yeah, Dont get their Y pipes, They are soo poorly made. They say that with some playing around you can get them to fit properly but i played with them for days and no luck. Just go custom. The only good thing about their Y pipe is the Merge collector.

DO NOT!!!! get the ypipe with dual cutouts... i heard they were in the process of making a new y-pipe for better clearance. If u can wait for that then maybe u should, if not then get a custom setup. I got their y-pipe with dual cutouts on sportlines and i had MAYBE an inch of clearance. Took out my whole summer for driving my car... very dissapointing use of $600 and i didnt know QTP would replace my headers or y-pipe so i didnt think to ask, but my headers had alot of problems with hitting the steering colum and i think its resting on the k-member still cause i hear this weird vibrating noise coming from the passenger side. Doesnt bang, just vibrates... But overall i think QTP is the right way to go, either that or kooks.

If your lowered a custom y pipe is the way to go. Oval would be the best. But you will lose ground clearance with any off the shelf y pipe when you slam the car.

That depends on where you live, or how far your willing to drive to get that y-pipe made. Regaurdless, your clearence will be a lot better than the SLP's.
