Thumbs up quick exhaust clip: LTs/ORY/Magnaflow Catback/Partially Open Cutout

the cutout is spaced open at the bottom with a single bolt since it sounds like hell when completely open and is too tame and not deep with it closed.. so this is a happy medium between the two. perfect sound level inside of the car; not too loud and not much drone inside.

this is my EIGHTH, and final exhaust setup. my favorite by far:
Pacesetter Coated Long Tube Headers
Texas Speed OR-Y (no cats)
Magnaflow Catback
Stainless Steel Cutout in I-Pipe (partially open)

i'll take a couple of better videos tomorrow along with a few pictures of the setup, so i'll delete this thread when I do.

That is exactly the same set up I have been thinking of (except cats on the Y). Now I'm doing it for sure

Sounds good. I will be instailling my Pacesetter LT's and TSP ory soon and i have a cutout. If i dont like the sound of it open i might try the spacer. But i been running it open for a whiel so i will probably like it.

Easily one of the best clips I've heard of the Magnaflow cat-back! Every clip that i've ever heard on LS1sounds.com sounds like . Seriously but NOT because the set-up itself is bad or anything but EVERYONE seems to think in order to capture the right sound you have to place the camera right up into the tail pipe(s), which on the camera ruins the whole sound. You put the camera at the perfect distance so theres no distorion when the camera was recording. Good job!!

yeah i've always wondered why people shove the camera right next to the exhaust tip when recording.

keep in mind though, that my clip is with the cutout partly open. with it closed, it actually sounds a bit more raspy and is much quieter and doesn't have that bass.
