Default ws6 lower air box?

Will the ws6 lower air box assembly work on a 01 T/A with the non ram air hood?
I'm talking about the box with the 2 inch opening. I did the free ram air mod and am thinking about replacing the lower air box before I buy my lid. Is it worth reversing or not. I've been told that this free mod only creates air turbulence and pushes hot air into the engine.

Yes it will fit, i have it on my car. I took the ws6 tall lower air box and replaced my stock one with it and put my slp lid on it and it fit fine, no fitment problems. However now i have the ws6 hood but it did fit when i had my non ram air hood on.

you must not have got the WS6 lower air box or modified your sleek beak, the WS6 air box it just too tall.

No, it is the ws6 air box and it fit with no modifications. It rubbed the top of my lid a little but it fit.

I ordered mine new from fred beans. $88.50, part number 12455209. It comes up as "support" in the description.

I've been told it doesn't work on non ram air cars, but my lid rubbed with the stock 1/2" air box. Doesn't matter, I'll fix that problem before the repaint.

Thanks guys. I will have to find one for cheap and give it a try. Thats why I ask, just because they don't work on a Camaro that does not mean that they will not work on the T/A's. The T/A hood must be a little taller underneath.
