From ALL the intake tests I've seen of aluminium intakes they all either match the LS6 (just) or under perform compared to the LS6.

the Professional Products Typhoon looks interesting but as yet waiting on independant results.

And while heat soak is often blown out of proportion it is still an issue.

If you want to run a big nitrous shot or want the bling of a polished aluminium intake go for it. For performance you'd be better off:

Budget - ported STOCK TB (see sig) and Ls6 intake

Expensive - FAST 90 intake and NW or PTM 90mm TB

for a street machine you really will be pressed to find better.

I agree, ls6 intake and ported stock TB is a killer combo, good for all sorts of setups.

thats not what the sticky at the top of this thread says. weiand and most metal intakes outflow the ls6 plus porting provisions. if you are interested in a metal intake search the metal intake thread. most will say youll have heatsoak with the metal...i didnt worry about it because of planning on nitrous. metal intakes also have burst panels

I see what you're saying, but I didn't want to f*ck up my TB. Also I don't have the tools (dremel) either to do it, so I didn't want to go out and buy the tools myself. IMO if New Era only charges $75 for a ported TB, that is a smoking deal!

I plan on getting the lingenfelter intake. Just scared of having that ONE dreaded backfire from nitrous and no more intake. I'll take the little heat soak that comes with it.
