The GM ZO6/Truck MAF is 85mm. Not sure about the newer LS7 stuff.

LPE makes a 100mm MAF. that is one huge pipe.

i've been wondering, how does speed density work? It seems like having a maf would be the best way to go since it measures air & SD doesn't, but then again I know nothing about it. Is it good to use on a daily driver or would gas mileage go down. I guess I'll have to

First you get the VE table dialed in based on wideband O2 data (you need to disable MAF and CL to do this);

When your VE table is dialed in, then the AFR commanded by the OLFA/PE tables shows up as actual AFR on the wideband O2 data;

Then, optionally, you re-enable the MAF and repeat the procedure to get the MAF table dialed in;

Then, optionally, you re-enable CL.

OLSD uses VE to calculate airmass, and uses the OLFA/PE tables for AFR.

CLSD uses VE to calculate airmass, and in CL uses NBO2 feedback for AFR, and in OL uses the the OLFA/PE tables for AFR.

OLMAF uses the MAF for airmass above 4K RPM, and VE/MAF below 4K RPM, and OLFA/PE tables for AFR.

CLMAF uses the MAF for airmass above 4K RPM, and VE/MAF below 4K RPM, and in CL uses NBO2 feedback for AFR, and in OL uses OLFA/PE tables for AFR.

oh, so instead of a maf, you need a wideband O2 sensor, perhaps one for each bank?? well I guess that kinda makes sense, though I didn't really understand a word of your "technical jargon" lol

The flow of your MAF is going to be restricted by the TB, and the opening in the intake.
