Default LT headers question!!

I have a 99 SS with a ls6 intake (EGR)...anyway I might buy some LT headers from a friend and they're brand new with emissions...Will the headers for 2000 + LS1's work with 98-99 models??

Too many variables to give you a straight answer. I have the reverse of your situation. I have an 01 with 98-99 headers. I had to block off the EGR port and rework the AIR lines to fit right. The only problem you may have is if the headers do not have EGR provisions, you will have to add that or disable the EGR. Secondary Air lines may have to be reworked as well, but should be nothing major.

I just did a Pacesetter LT install on a 2000 SS and you may have an issue like I did with the alignment of the EGR pipes. The 98-99 headers are layed out a little different I beieve but I wouldn't worry about it, I just had to buy some extra rubber hose to extend the EGR so it fit on the driver side. Good Luck!

I have 2 99's with headers from 2000. No issues here.
