yea mine came like they should gapped at .55 I think it was, but double check them b/c someone could drop them or something and it could mess the gap up. But generally they do come gapped where you need them

Best practice for sure, they usually range from .052-.057 out of the box in my experience.

Mine came out at .044" average today. Went in at .058". Take 5 mins and set them up as you require.

TR55s are supposed to be gapped at .055. But as posted above, actual gap is usually a little off.

The rule of thumb, is that no spark plug comes pre-gapped

i think they're supposed to be pre-gapped at .55 but most people run that at .50 (or even less) for mildly bolted on cars. i'm gonna change mine later this spring and will prob set them ~.50

Seems like I just came across some information that indicates that that has changed. I think they now come in somewhere around .044-.045 due to a manufacturing change.

This is very possible. Recently they started producing them with fixed tips on the plugs, no longer screw-on type.

They should be at .050-.055 for a bolton car.

The only ones you can't jack with are iridiums/platinums. It's a good idea to make sure they are all "even" and there's not one made on a monday that got thrown across the spark plug plant. If you find a bad one, take it back and swap it.

If you already knew this, consider it a heads up for others.
