Default Rear O2 sensors on longtubes...

Anyone keep the rear o2 sensors after the cats? Will the Bosch 13111 rear vette O2's work in this situation?

Emissions being the main issue and not wanting to do a tune until after some serious head cam work.

They will probably still set the code if they are behind aftermarket cats. The values they will be sending back will be too far away from what the PCM considers to be alright.

Getting a "tune" and getting a few codes deleted is two different things. I could delete your codes in about 3 minutes flat lol.

considering that no one around here can do that for me without dinging me for at minimum $125...

it's just not worth the hassle. May as well just get O2 sims then... I was hoping that I could just toss in the vette o2 rears and call it a day.

Not if the cats are OBDII approved..Those work fine. I know someone who has them and no problems..why do you think this.????

well the cats I would be getting are magnaflow metallic hi-flow odb-2 approved cats so I was thinking I can keep the emissions stuff in tact without pushing my luck with the smog *****...

It's a crapshoot really. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. My friends car has Kooks headers and catted-y. I screwed his rear O2's in and plugged 'em up, still got coded.

if they were the stock f-body rear o2 sensors, they are too far downstream to function properly, what I'm suggesting for my setup is the bosch 13111 rear o2 sensor for the vettes. Since they were designed to be far downstream in the exhaust after the cats as well.

from what I gather though, no one has really attempted this yet a lot of f-body cars exist in cali... how the hell do they get by the smog ***** there is beyond me...

I have the vette rear 02s in there for a few years now and they work fine. I kept the air pump and I only occasionally get a code, especially in colder weather.
