LSX? What can they do?
I have a question and would only like to hear some facts from you guys out in the world with LSX intakes. I don't want to hear stories that this is the best thing since sliced bread, I just want to know what kind of hp #'s can be made, what is better 78 or 90mm, and can it benefit my 224,224 LT car.
Let me know what you have seen or made along with the type of LSX.
Thanks,
Grant

I assume you mean a big cam. Well the car dyno right at 400rwhp. Not bad, but I think that the intake maybe a little over kill. Just trying to get facts on what people have experienced.

coming from a fast owner, unless you have plans for cubes, or are planning on taking advantage of the burst panels like in no2 and forced induction applications, your 224 will be fine with a simple ls6. I run no2, so I like the burst panels in case of a hiccup, and I plan to go bigger later so I spent the money once and did it right.

See my thread here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/699432-fast-85-85-track-results.html On a basically stock engine I gained roughly 20 HP.

You will see some gains over the LS6 even on a 224 but not as much as if it were a bigger cam. For comparison I dynoed 398/357 with LS6 and ported TB with a VERY lean tune. After fattening it up, adding an UD pulley and the FAST 90/90 it did 427/380 for a gain of 29RWHP and 23RWTQ.
