Well a loudmouth flows pretty good but really loud with off road y-pipe. Go to ls1sounds.com they have many different exhaust systems to compare hope this helps.

Your not going to get very deep with a LS1. They tend to be a bit high pitched. The Magnaflow and SLP units have long been some of the best flowing exausts on the market. The SLP loud mouth will probablly be the loudest.

I have LT's and LM. When you lay it on the floor, it is freaking deep and loud....... I get compliments on it all the time... If you want to here what it sounded like with just a LM with factory manifolds, here is a race between me and a friend from high school.

For some reason the link isn't working, I'll put a diffrent one up later... If you search 2001 Z-28 vs. GT you can find it there and it works fine. IDK....

if you want deep, magnaflow is probably the WORST choice, along with corsa. those two are probably the most high-pitched catbacks on the market. your best hope for something deep would be the SLP dual/dual or possibly a hooker catback. however, they're both not going to produce a really deep tone, just "as deep as it gets."

if you want DEEP, you have to get true duals with an H-pipe. true duals with an H-pipe and single chamber flowmasters are probably the deepest setup on an f-body, minus 2-chambered flowmasters which are incredibly difficult to mount due to our lack of ground clearance.

I have true dual 3" with 2 Borla XR-1's dumped before the axles. It is very deep at idle but not retarded loud. You can speak to the passenger at a normal tone without looking at him/her and they can hear you. I think that the cam and cubes have an effect on the pitch though. From what little flow information that I was able to find, the XR-1's claim pretty much the highest flow rate at 1100 cfm each if memory serves. At WOT they scream though.

If you aren't going true duals, I really like my Spintech exhaust. It's deep imo, kind of a big block sound.

here is me playing catch-up with my friend. I can't stress how good this setup sounds in person. I don't know where this guy is coming from saying magnaflow is high pitched. under 3.5k rpm's you've got a deep tone. once you go over that you'll hear the car screaming bloody murder, from over a mile away. Maybe he's got high-pitched confused with loud-as-****?

But it is true, nothing sounds as badass as a true dual setup with some sweet thunder, spiral flows, bullets, or anyting like that.

Borla . . It is expensive but you can't beat the quality. And that deep sound you are looking for, this will give it to you. Great Tone just right amount of loudness
