What Cat-Back Exhaust gives you the best power
Like the title says what cat-back exhaust gives you the best power. I was looking at the LM II I love the way it sounds on my 02 Silverado. Any and all opinions are welcome. Thanks

would depend on other factors like. shorties, long tube headers, cats or not cats are they stock or not. ask yourself which headers best with stock exhaust. headers being same size just different name brand....

Most of the cat-backs flow about the same, so choose one that sounds the best to you. You will not notice any significant performance differences between the catbacks that we generally support on LS1Tech.

i don't think it's physically possible for ANY mass-produced catback to outflow a loudmouth. it's the physically least restrictive catback out there.
however, if performance is your only goal, buying ANY y-pipe setup is pointless. if you need performance, go true duals. a y-pipe setup simply cannot beat a true dual setup. even if flow is exactly the same, the true dual setup will outscavenge assuming you're using a crossover pipe. i've seen true duals with an x-pipe GAIN OVER OPEN HEADERS. plus, they sound better than a y-pipe setup, especially if you use an H-pipe

The hooker flows very well up to about 400 hp before you start to notice real differences between it and a straight 3" pipe. A lot of people have added a cutout on cam only cars with the hooker system only to notice that their hp hardly changes at all.

Great info guys!! Thanks I was wanting to keep the car somewhat sane on the sound. I have also kicked around the idea of doing a pair of LM2's in a dual H-Pipe setup. Tha i have not seen yet.

best flowing, sound not a part of the equation is prolly the SLP 2otl, 3" mandrel-bent piping, single inlet-dual outlet straight thru muffler, may not sound the best or look the best but it prolly out flows all catbacks that use a muffler-not a resonator (i.e. loudmouth)
