Exclamation TB not opening completely. WTF!?

This is my 5th Fbody, and I have never seen anything like this. I was installing my trigger switch for spray and noticed that my throttle cam does not rotate all the way to the stopping plate when using the foot accellerator! Why in the world would this happen? As a matter of fact, I can move the cam by hand an additional 1/2inch before it stops! Any ideas? Would a different TB resolve this? Do I need to shorten my throttle linkeage?
Im sure this is not helping my performance on the track.

There are a couple of adjustable runs in the cable
mess, but you may also have to bend the pedal
arm or add a spacer to the pedal end of the cable.
Mine was bad, buddy's was worse, nothing the snap
adjusters could do for it because it's as-manufactured
and no adjustment on that piece.

If you have TCS, then like the others said, adjust the TB cable linkages. Its pretty easy.

If you dont have TCS, then perhaps youre running a 98-00 TB on a 01+ car. The change in the throttle blade cam required a longer cable in the later cars.

No, I just meant I dont like having the TC. Just extra weight and more "idiot proofing" for the less intelligent drivers out there.
Ill have to take a look @it tonight and figure out where to adjust it. I didnt know you could adjust the cable. I figured for sake of ECM control(TPS sensor and WOT voltage settings) it would be non-adjustable.

Theres a plastic coupler. You open it up, and the two cables join togather via ridged panels. Difficult to explain, but it will make sense once you see it. you can adjust how many teeth grab inside the coupler.
