Default Do the newest Jet-Hots have heater box issues?

I know Jet-Hot is now shipping their newest batch of headers. I was wondering if the heater box problem was ever resolved or if Jet-Hot just wants us to live with it. I called them and they said that since it's basically the same design as the Hookers, they really didn't understand how people had heater box issues. I expected them to say it's not going to be a problem, but I'm still wondering if people are experiencing it? How could it happen on some of the headers and not others? Could it be people with little/no experience are installing them wrong? Thanks!

I've gotten some positive and some negative responses. I posted the same question on LS1.com and CamaroZ28.com. Some say they have no issues and some say they do. I guess I still don't understand how some can have it and some not. That really makes me feel like it's the way that it's getting installed. Also, if the Hookers never did this, why would the Jet-Hots? Any one else? Thanks again!

i helped put a set of jet hots on one of my buddies cars and he had to grind a chunk of the a-arm out on the drivers side about the size of a half dollar to get them to clear, i liked the quality of the jet hots but the fitment issues caused me to go with hookers.

The A-arm problem HAS been fixed. That was fixed on the second batch. I do still hear people talking about the heater box issue.

Tolerances. If you have a tight tolerance car, and a loose tolerance set of headers then it could get interesting. I have about 3/4 of an inch gap, and have had no burning plastic smell at all; or I can't smell it over the raw fuel coming out of my duals.
