better than the stock lid setup....

but if you want a real ram air....look into the SSRA...has more of a scoop on it.

I have been running an FTRA on my Z28 for six months and have had no problems. It is definitely better than the stock setup. There are many opinions on these and it has been discussed at length on this site in several other threads.

I've had it on my car for a LONG time.. I picked up 1 tenth and 1.5 mph instantly at the track with it in the summer.

That's right in line with the average gains

We've been selling them since 1998 and they have been tested many many times with the same positive results. Users also typically see 5-7 % improvement in fuel economy.

We are also the only company to include a block off plate to disable the kit for testing or very foul weather. The kits are on sale right now for 152.99

Thanks

I have had mine for nearly 2 years and have had no problems. Picked up 1 tenth and 2 mph at the track. I would highly recommend it.

I have had mine for a month and installed it with a few other items at the same time (larger MAF and ported TB). Car pulls harder for sure.

I had a fitment issue even though I followed the directions to the T. I had it intalled and all the holes lined up but it did not line up with the base for the filter/lid (about 3/16" off). I had to round the mounting holes out on the FTRA and also trim the plastic piece the FTRA slides in to on one side so that I could adjust it to the left (as looking at the front of the vehicle) enough to get it line up.

I don't now why it could not be one piece either? The wing nuts used to tie the lower upper piece together looks like an after thought.

I put this on this summer and i didn't notice much difference in acceleration until about 100+, I am not saying that it doesn't help at slower speeds though. I haven't been to the track since it was installed. I have not even had any problems in inclement weather. I live in the north Dallas area during the summer and it rained nearly every damn day and I never had a problem with water getting into the intake, though I did take caution when the water got deep just in case...

I had no problems at all, except for really dirty air filters.

You did that with a dremel??? I hate to see what you could do with the right equipment! Good job. I like how the top of your RA fits and fills in the entire area under the air filter base unlike the production ones.

It was made like that on purpose so people could remove the lower portion of the kit if they had any cooling problems in extremely hot climates, towing (yes, some people do that) etc.
