Default Edelbrock Stainless Victor Series Drag Race Headers

Victor Series Drag Race Headers
These new drag race headers have innovative features to maximize power potential in competition. They are engineered with the correct firing order pulse sequence in the collector, unlike most competitors' headers. The 3/8" thick laser-cut flanges are robotically welded and contoured for a perfect fit. New fully welded headers include O2 sensor bosses and collectors for a no-leak installation right out of the box. Headers with slip-on merge collector feature an expansion cone on the exit of the collector. The slip-on design allows for tuning the primary tube lengths to individual engine requirements. Collector retainer brackets and scavenge tubes can be welded on after header tuning has been completed.

Application

Header:

1998-02 Camaro/Firebird with 5.7L LS1, slip-on merge collector (1-3/4", stepped to 1-7/8", 3-1/2" collector,304 stainless steel) Part # 65701 (PIC OF COATED HEADER BELOW)

Competition Y-Pipe
Designed to match our race headers for 1998-02 LS1 Camaro/Firebird, this Y-Pipe is made of mandrel-bent 3" 16-gauge tubing for maximum flow and power. This direct replacement part for the stock Y-pipe and catalytic converters fits under the chassis without flow-reducing dents, unlike our competitor's Y-pipe. It has better ground clearance than other Y-pipes. For competition use only.

Application

Y Pipe:

For 1998-02 LS1 Camaro/Firebird (304 stainless steel) Part # 65711 (PIC OF NON-COATED BELOW)

In my experience i have not seen this issue with my headers or the others I have helped install. But that goes to show that no matter the brand, and how great the fitment is...on another car there could be issues. This is something everyone should know when it comes to headers, and many other aftermarket parts.

My Victor Jr's have about 1/4 inch clearance on the drivers side at best. I have heard if your motor mounts are worn it will contact the k-member on that side.

Are the lowest price headers on this page not coated at all or do they have the tri-tech coating? I am looking at getting some of these headers. Thanks and sorry for the hi-jack.

the $419 header setup, part # 65703 comes ti-tech coated. they will require welding and drilling (3/4" hole), for O2 bungs and welding of collector tabs.

65703 comes with, HVMC collectors with velocity spike, O2 extensions, O2 bungs, gaskets, bolts and emissions crap if needed (not installed, would require drilling welding to use emissions parts).
the y pipe comes with O2 bungs and 4 stainless t-bolt clamps (2x3" and 2x3.5").

IMO, it is hard to beat the Edelbrocks for the dollar!!

Same price I paid for my QTP's. At least these come with a decent Y pipe. They look pretty good.
