Default New Y-pipe w/Pics......

I had my old y-pipe modified to use a Flowmaster merge (dual 3" to 3.5")
The sound is a little deeper and quieter at idle. It eliminated all rasp and popping sounds at 2500rpm, however the dynomax bullet got rid of some of that before the new merge. Its a mixture of a three different exhaust manufactures, Flowmaster merge, Dynomax Bullet, Magnaflow muffler. I don't discriminate!!!

How much power do you think I picked up? I was making 570rwhp prior to the change. I won't be able to get it back on the rollers until next season, its pretty much put away for the winter now.

Anyways here are the pics

I would bet you picked up a few hp and I bet you picked up a chuck of torque in the mid range from 3-4000 rpm.
I did the same thing to my car and eliminated the "dip" in the torque curve in the midrange.

Looks good, Did that change the exhaust sound at all. I’ve heard that doing a TRUE 2 into 1 like that helps cut down on the raspyness.

Very Nice! I’ve kinda been leaning towards a true dual set up but I don’t really want to dump the exhaust before the rear end. Any way to get some sound clips up maybe?

I did something similar. I took my QTP offroad Y and did major surjury just to get it to fit without hitting the floor then eliminated the unneeded slip joints. Then I went with an LT1 trans crossmember to lighten it up and to clear the left part of the Y better.

After researching all types of ORY's available. I decided to go with the Mufflex. Fits great with the Jethot Lt's.
