I haven't met anyone with starter problems with any of the LS1 longtube headers. You just need to be careful when running wires by them.

yeah if you mean to put the headers in, I had to take out the starter as well.

I just finished my Jet-Hot install today and the starter was not an issue in any way. Removed the steering shaft, oil diverter plate, the undercar heat shields, and they made it in no grinding the block. Had to get the car HIGH for the dang passenger side though.

I'm actually going to do this. I've had the JetHot LT's for a while now and I'm just worried that the headers are too close to the starter. It's more for piece of mind than anything.

Over a year and no problems.... I think the headers are actually much cooler than the factory cat located right there.

6 months and no problem.......there is so much air moving past the starter (and its not that close) that it does not get hot.
