Default MTI lid ... what size is the opening????

I have a Fast 90mm intake, a Holley 90mm throttle body, and a SLP 85mm MAF. Am I robbing myself with the MTI clear lid I bought from SPEEDINC, or, is it an 85mm opening? Does anybody know the opening size?

You could E-mail MTI. Mine fits right over the stock MAF. If that gives you any idea of what size it is.

It's probably the same size as all the other lids except for the Fast Toy's which has a larger inlet I would imagine.

Pm'd Zach last night, but, haven't gottten a reply back from him. After going to their website, I ordered a JAAM WS6 plate and their 85mm lid ... looks like a couple fo pretty good Go-Fast parts to me.

I'm sorry, the only reason I poked my head in here is cause I do have an MTI lid, and I considered going outside to measure it.

But since you have one couldn't you just, you know, take a ruler and measure it?
I hope I'm not sounding like a **** here.

Not sure what your setup is, but, with my Fast90, Holley90, and SLP MAF the lid is nearly impossible to get back on the car. That's why I haven't taken the MTI clear lid off to measure the inside diameter.

I also don't have a cloth tape measure to get an accurate measurement of the circumference to use the formula to get the diameter .. besides, that still would not tell me what the INSIDE diameter is unless I knew the wall thickness of the product, which would still require me to remove the lid to measure with a micrometer. But, then again, if it were off the car, well, you know, why would I not just measure the diamater at that point?

It makes sense to me (in my situation) to simply ask someone who would know. Does this not make sense to you in my predicament.

Here my setup ... maybe you can see the problem ... mabe you can't.

Sorry man, didn't mean to offend.
I just figured since you said you had all these other goodies, that the lid was also just sitting in front of you, my mistake.

John ... no offense was taken ... just making it clear why I didn't take the lid off to measure. Zach@MTI still has not repsonded to my PM for whatever reason, so, I just went ahead and ordered the Fast Toys 85mm lid ... also ordered the JAAM WS6 plate ... hopefully, I'll see enough gain to make the purchase worthwhile. .1-.1.5 ET and 1-2 MPH gain would be really nice ... sealing the airbox today.
