Default What do I need to do about a throttle body

Hey I have a stock 98 z that I am about to start tinkering with. I think am going to do a lid, smooth bellows, ls-6 intake, pacesetter headers, and a dyno tune. What do I need to do about my throttle body? Port and polish or is it like everythind else a 98's isn't any good lol? Thanks

Smooth bellows is for looks only. No performance gains with that. Just port and polish your TB. You gonna go with the stock muffler or put a magnaflow or somethin on?

Thanks. I had a f body that had a race series borla mounted and turned down right before the rear end that sounded good so I think I am going to try that. So a 98 had decent tb's?

Hey, us 98's had a better cam, a temp guage that worked and a quicker opening throttle cam. It wasn't all bad!!!!! Tougher rod bolts woulda been great though, huh!!!!

Yea, and we want their LS6 IM and freerer flowing EM. I am in the modding mood now soooooooo......We should be all on the same playing field and I will just proceed to my 400+rwhp (at least) daily driver. Mid elevens are what I would like to see out of this car. Needs to be a DD in a pinch.

yup, each year has something that another year doesn't, and we want it all, lol. The modding bug loves to empty my wallet But it's worth it.
