about 10hp. And it will sound decent through your cats. You will leave the cap off...trust me.

I had a cut out for a while and i think it was the best mod i could have bought. maybe its just be but it felt like my car was able to finally breath out better. i actually felt and noticed the gains when i raced my friends ss.

I run mine open all the time too. It sounds pretty good, not loud enough for me, which is why I'm getting ready to do LT's and true duals dumped, but sounds pretty good for a quick fix. Mine isn't completely stock exhaust though.

A cutout is quite honestly the best mod you can start with IMO. The ability to roar around, and yet go down the highway without earplugs in. It sounds great and even if you don't get huge gains; it sure as f#ck sounds like it!

I just did back to back dyno runs on my stock manifold and catback car, only exhaust mod was the cutout. Lost 6 hp/tq with the cap closed. This was on an SS catback though, so it may be a little more in your case.

I would forgo the electronic cutout and just use a manual one. (It's a tough environment under there.)

If you will be welding it in, try to get a cutout of like metal to the pipe where it will be installed or it will be harder to get a good weld. (The stock pipe is not stainless steel.)

I gained 11rwhp opened to closed on stock SS cat back. One of my first mods, but with ORY and cutout opened sounds like crap below 4000rpms- sounds like muffler fell off, but when running through the gears-higher rpms- awesome

You can prob get close to 10hp. Its really the stock cats that hold the flow back but it def helps to bypass the muffler. Trust me you will love the sound with it

yeeesh! I couldn't imagine having to crawl under the car to open my cutout everytime. It would deffinantly spend more time open i guess!
