Looking for your exhaust recommendation....
I have a 1999 SS. Looking for an "inexpensive" setup. I need coated long tube headers with a coated y-pipe that I can install gutted cats onto.
I'm thinking Pace Setter coated headers but I don't know too much about the y-pipe selection.
The ultimate would be FLP's header and y-pipe but that's out of my range $$$.

What do you mean by "inexpensive". that is a relative term it does depend on what you want to spend. The best sound around is LT headers to true duals, which are kind of expensive but if you don't need cats and don't go out the back it's really not bad compared to a Y-pipe and cat-back. The Loudmouth sounds good with cats and I loved mine on otherwise stock car for a year and a half. I would recomend either Hooker or Jet-Hot LT's (Jethot for coated, hooker for not), and a true dual set up. They come off the headers, cross in an X-pipe, then come out with a couple of bullet mufflers. I am bias, though, as my sig will show If you take anything from my post, do NOT get the loudmouth w/o cats unless you have heard it in person and know you will like it and remember than true duals rock for sound and power/flow
