Default TR230 cam......What size injectors

I have a TR320/224 lsa111 cam, ls6 intake, ported TB, no cats, no egr, no AIR system, stock heads, etc. and currently have the factory 28 lbs. injectors. Is this enough for my application or do I need to obtain new ones???/

Thanks for the help

Stock injectors are PLENTY for that application. You're good to go.

Go ahead and replace the timing chain (and oil pump if your car is older than an 01). The stock GM LS2 timing chain works great and is cheap.

Default Cam. ... Damian???

thx damian

I picked up a jelling high volume high pressure pump

With the timing chain......should I replace just the chain or the sprocket too.... I have a 2000 as with 50000 miles. Will I have to replace the oil pan gasket too? I alredy have to pull the heads to do litters as one sticks intermittantly..

Any suggestions????

just the chain will be sufficient...they are like 40 bucks. I did my cam swap at 52k and thats the route i took.

You wont need to replace the oil pan gasket

You get new pushrods and springs?

Default Rods

I got comp chrome molly hardened pushrods 7.40 and patriot gold springs.... Thunder racing said I would have to do the oil pan gasket since the miles and lowering the pan would probably ruin it. Thx for the input........ Is it worth dropping the pan and swapping out the connecting rod bolts with arp's and replace the gasket????

You have to drop the K-member to get the oil pan off and unless you get K-tech rod bolts the ARP's weigh a lot different (heavier) so depending on who you talk to some say it may actually cause problems. Because of all this I decided to stay stock and just not spin spin over 6500 which is generally considered the max for 98 rod bolts.

BTW this ?? should really be in internal.

re-scale the injectors should be it. Cant you scan your injector duty with EFILive to see where its at? My bolt on car was running the stock 26lbrs at 94% so I upgraded to SVO 30s, its my understanding that anything over 80% is bad. Also note alot of people dont change their injectors and run the duty cycle to 110%+ and claim no problems. Good luck with your build.

28's should be ok for now, but if your wanting to upgrade w/ heads or possibly nitrous later down the road, I would plan for that. I'm @ 97% cam only w/ 28's, so I got a set of 36's sitting here for when I install my heads.
