SLP Lid and Bellow Install... Pics
I just installed my SLP lid and bellow today. Fits great! Getting the MAF off the stock intake was a pain in the ***. Hairdryer definately helped. I just made sure the four tabs in the back of the lid were in properly and had to finesse it a little. Took it for a ride... seems to have better throttle response and breathes a little better on the top end. Came home, opened the hood and found no contacted marks on the hood or lid. Front latches clip in fine. Nice and solid and don't pop off. Really like it. Good product for the cash.

My first mod was my SLP lid, very well made i think. Its been 4 years since i installed it, and it looks just as good as the day i put it on. Definetly looks alot better than the crap we had in there prior.

yeah i like my slp lid as well, alot of people complain about the lid fitting like **** and that the hood hits it. for 1 they are supposed to be tight to ensure a tight fit and 2 if the hood is hitting it then the rear tabs arent in all the way or you need to raise your hood.

I think the SLP lid was my first mod too. And 2nd was the cat back. The LT headers made a big difference in sound and SOP power, that & dyno tune got me close to 350rwhp. And head/cam has me just under 400rwhp now. I should have saved up for CNC heads but that's another story.
When I bought the car I didn't think I was going to do many mods. Now I'm running out of mods to do. Next on the list is an LS7 clutch.
So what's your next mod going to be?

Did I give the impression that this mod was groundbreaking? I was just giving my experience because people have very different results. Thats why I included pics... showing the much debated FIT. Not new to F-bodys. Owned one in 1998 as a matter of fact.
