Definitely the budget head would be the PRC 5.3 Stage 2.5s. If you've got the coin, some AFRs would really rock your socks, but I think if I had a sweet set of AFRs I would definitely go with a different cam than the Torquer V3. It's just a matter of matching the right heads with the right cam.

The PRC Stage 2.5 5.3l head is a great budget option. From a engine dyno standpoint they compare very well next to the heads being discussed. If your willing to spend a little more than $1200 then the PRC 215 cylinder heads should be ready in about a month! The question you have to ask yourself is what's your ultimate goals for the car. You can buy $1200 cylinder heads that make 40rwhp gain & $1100 intake & tb combo that makes 35rwhp gains for cheaper than you can buy most aftermarket casting cylinder heads that best case might make 45rwhp....

I have a cam similar to a TQv2 with a set of TEA ported 5.3L heads and Im over 450. I would imagine if I had a newer higher end head I would get a good bump in power.
The heads from Texas Speed are great heads, especially for the price. You really cant go wrong.
