Default New M6 dyno

This latest project focused on as close to stock drivability coupled with the best power numbers we could generate from a Thunder Racing 230 RSP cam and I think we did okay, this is our "project wifes car" 1999 Pewter Trans Am, she has been tired of 330 RWH for over a year now so I came up with high powered perfect daily driver package that had to meet her particular criteria..

1. no rolling idle. done
2. perfect hot/cold starts. almost
3. fuel milage. done
4. 11 sec time slips at stock weight/wheels. pending
5. easy clutch peddle with no chatter. done
6. low end torque. done
7. retain stock gearing for alot of highway use.
8. quiet exhaust noise at highway cruise. done

See, she has sampled alot of builds we have done and knows exatly what she wanted with alot of street power to boot.

454/415 6,400 5,000 SAE closed exhaust tuned in.
466/426 " " SAE cut out open w/short belt

She drove the build after the tuning edit session and there is just a slight adj to be done at hot start.

Quick run down of parts used..

Comp 918 springs with Ti retainers.
Yella Terra rockers.
ported TB.
Accel plug wires.
GM 707 plugs.
Lid n filter.
JPR HVLD car casting S2s at 10.8 compression exacly like EZSS's new heads.
Thunder Racing 230 RSP.
Z06 intake.
ASP UD pulley.
Hooker Headers.
Mufflex Y pipe.
Z06 clutch.

Stock cat back pipes with Vortex muffler.
Stock water pump.
Stock rear.
Push rods.

Thanks to Thunder Racing, Tom M, Eric W, Paul R, Fireball, JD's Auto, PCM's for less and Jessie from Pontiac Performance Mag cause I didn't have the time to perform this build personally, more on this build in Dec/Jan. Dyno sheet will be up soon.

JP.

Absolutely awesome Joe! Congrats!

My only concern here is your clutch choice. The first time I went to the track with only street tires after bolting on my S2 heads I destroyed the LS6 clutch. My CARTEK clutch basically feels stock and operates with zero chatter. This may have been a better choice. This aside, WAY TO GO JOE!!!!

Sweet numbers. I'd be concerned about the clutch as well.

z06 clutch with street tires is holding just fine on my buddys car and it puts down 478/455 to the wheels. My car had 430/430, no problems.

now with drag radials or slicks I am sure it would be toast but the tires act as a fuse for the most part. I bet the clutch will hold fine as long as the car only wears regular ZR radials
