Default TR236 installed

Got the car up and running today. Idle is at 800 RPM. Another TR236 user made some changes to my edit file so it runs awesome. Here is a sound clip.

TR236

This is on stock heads. I have the cut out closed for the first 5 or so seconds. Car is warm as well.

I'll give more impressions of the cam as I get to drive it more.

Sweet!! Makes me miss my cam a lot - need to get my new setup done ASAP. This will probably be the cam I'll be running as well.

Congrats and have fun.

Wow that sounds nice. Especially with the cutout open. I'm sure that will turn heads at nearly every stop light.

Don I can't thank you enough for the help on that. It was nice to upload it and have it going.. BTW, I dropped the idle down to 800 Your an A4 correct. I have no problem at 800rpm with the M6.. I was even thinking about trying to drop it to 750-775 to get it to really sound mean

wow, that sounds awesome, what are the specs? sounds really quite with the cut out slosed though, my car sounds like yours does with the cutout open just at regular idle and i dont have a cutout. i still havent tuned mine yet though so i dont know if the sound will change, its at an 800rpm idle.

Sorry I don't like lope so I set my idle higher.Take out that tune and you'll feel serious lope(if it even will idle)
The fun part of that Cam is how far it revs.I've tested it to 7200rpm and it was still going and it even lugs around at 1200rpm.

7200 RPM.. Man that's high.. Where did it peak? I don't think I'll be spinning the stock bottom end to 7200.. I might go to 7k on the dyno.

Shaun, sounds awesome bro!! Glad it's all up and running and there is no problems (not like there would be ). I may just have to pick that TR236 up off the garage floor and put it in now, lol!!

Anyone have a dyno graph with this cam??

What is the lobe seperation? If it was on a 112 I want to know how you got it to idle that low!

It is on a 112 LSA. According to the cam doctor sheet Shaun has, it's on a 109 ICL, so that would be 3 degrees ground in right? As far as being able to idle that low, I see no reason a M6 should not be able to do it with the right tuning, but maybe the guy that tweaked his LS1 edit file can explain what he did, if anything special...

Is there anyway I can see your tuning file? I am not sure the process.Do you have stock injectors?

Dan, Here is the link from Slowhawks pull. I think the dyno overlay is the TR224 and the TR236.. https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/98686-tr-236-230-results.html

Injectors are stock (28.8lb).. I feel Slowhawk would have to give the ok on the file just because he was the one that did it. I don't want to just give away his work. Hope that makes sense..

The dyno does peek the same as a 224..The dyno I run on in very well known as a very low reading dyno, but I do all my pulls there since I work there
My car stock was 300hp,I've hit 440rwhp on the dyno but the car ET's better with the lower hp #'s.(3mph difference)Meaning dyno #'s mean little
